Starting your 2019 job search now

1. It’s a good time to start applying for jobs now because an interview process can take up to 3-6 weeks which takes you to mid-November. It can often take slightly longer in Q4 as it's an extremely busy period and companies are preparing for Christmas and year end
   
2. Notice periods in this space can be anywhere from 1-3 months, so if you’re looking to start a new role in January, you need to be having conversations now
   
3. In January, the market will be a lot more competitive. A lot more people are active in the market or open to conversations which makes it a lot more competitive when it comes to securing your dream job
   
4. Job hunting can be a very stressful time, especially after a manic festive period. Mixing this with a busier market can be tough. Get ahead of the curve and secure your job before the Christmas break. This way you can put your feet up and enjoy your time off with your family.
