Ad Operations Specialist - Ad Tech - Up to £55,000 (DOE)

The Company

Our client is a fast-growing entertainment and digital media company that helps users discover and purchase unique experiences. They operate a network of city-based media sites and run a brand partnerships division that collaborates with leading brands and agencies to create engaging campaigns.

Over the past year, they have expanded into programmatic advertising, offering innovative digital solutions to connect brands with highly engaged audiences. As part of this growth, they are now looking for their first dedicated Ad Operations Specialist to join the team.

The Role

This is a brand-new position, offering a unique opportunity to shape and build the ad operations function from the ground up. Initially, the role will involve a mix of pre-sales support and hands-on campaign activation, but over time, it will be primarily post-sales focused-troubleshooting, reporting, and optimizing campaigns.

  • Oversee programmatic campaign execution, ensuring smooth delivery across direct and PMP/PG deals.
  • Troubleshoot ad-serving and delivery issues, working closely with clients and internal teams.
  • Provide data analysis and insights to improve campaign performance.
  • Work with brand partnerships and digital teams to support innovative advertising solutions.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to resolve billing discrepancies and revenue tracking.
  • Use Google Ad Manager (GAM) extensively, with exposure to DSPs/SSPs being a bonus.

Location: 4 days in the office, 1 day WFH (Fridays).

You

  • 3-5 years' experience in Ad Operations or Programmatic Advertising, preferably within a media owner or agency.
  • Strong experience with Google Ad Manager (GAM)-essential.
  • Exposure to DSPs, SSPs, and programmatic trading is a plus.
  • Highly analytical, with experience using Excel and Tableau for campaign reporting.
  • Client-facing experience, with a mix of pre-sales and post-sales exposure being ideal.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and excited about joining a fast-paced, high-growth company.
