Back End Developer

The Job

As a Full-Stack Developer, your key responsibilities will include:

• Service Layer Development & AWS Management:

  • Building and maintaining our service layer based on AWS API, utilizing a range of AWS services such as EC2, VPC, ELB, S3, RDS, Route53, CloudWatch, SES, and GuardDuty.
  • Developing and managing AWS infrastructure (EC2, VPC, RDS, S3, IAM roles, policies, ELB) using CloudFormation.
  • Ensuring high availability and fault tolerance of services using ELB and Route53, adding health checks for balancers and managing domains hosted on Route53.
  • Conducting regular vulnerability assessments using AWS Inspector and managing patching of EC2 instances via AWS Systems Manager.
  • Collecting telemetry from AWS services and maintaining on-premise CloudWatch and Grafana dashboards to monitor performance.
  • Implementing alerts using Amazon CloudWatch and Nagios.

• Single Page Application Development:

  • Developing Single Page Applications (SPA) using one of the following frameworks: Angular, React, Vue, or Svelte.
  • Collaborating with the team to create scalable, performant web applications.

• Technology Exploration & Continuous Learning:

  • Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and demonstrating a passion for learning new tools and techniques to enhance our platform.
  • Contributing to the development of innovative solutions in the sex education space, pushing boundaries to improve user experience and impact.

You
The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience with AWS technologies, including EC2, VPC, ELB, S3, RDS, and CloudFormation.
• Experience developing SPAs using frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue, or Svelte.
• Familiarity with service layers, particularly with Spring Boot or Quarkus.
• Strong problem-solving skills, motivation, and a willingness to learn new technologies.
• A keen interest in contributing to the development of sex education platforms and a readiness to tackle existing barriers in the field.
