Design Team Lead

My client, a cloud-based contact platform, is looking for an experienced Design Team Lead to create and shape the company's visual identity. This role requires a strong passion for design, a standout portfolio, and the ability to mentor and inspire a team of designers.

This a fully remote and permanent role working with European teams within European time zones.

About the role:

• Lead and refine the company's visual identity, ensuring a cohesive brand image across all platforms.
• Develop and uphold brand guidelines to ensure consistency throughout all communications.
• Mentor and guide a team of designers, providing constructive feedback and encouraging professional growth.
• Collaborate with various teams to manage, prioritise, and assign design projects effectively.
• Keep the long-term vision of the brand in mind, aligning design output with overall objectives and user needs.
• Supervise the creation of design assets across diverse channels, including web, social media, print, and advertising.
• Establish a design system to streamline asset creation and define the brand's visual aesthetics.
• Provide creative direction to ensure that all projects meet both visual and functional standards.
• Stay informed about the latest design trends and best practices to maintain an innovative and appealing brand.
• Review and approve design work, ensuring high standards are consistently met and brand guidelines adhered to.

About you:

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a design leadership role, with a portfolio demonstrating both design talent and leadership capabilities.
• Expertise in tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
• Strong grasp of branding, typography, colour theory, and layout principles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to balance creative ideas with strategic goals and user experience best practices.
